MusiEmotica is the name for recordings of live piano improvisations.

These are recorded in live play on a digital piano. They contain sweeping emotions, all based on typical classical-romantic musical "clichés", motives, themes.

In some ways this could be considered "LoFi" because very little editing and post-production was done. But the high quality of digital home studio recordings does produce the typical low-quality audio that is characteristic for LoFi recordings - the quality is HD with full CD quality. The imperfections are in the playing: the tempo and the articulations are not perfect, and sometimes there are short pauses, for the deliberation of how to continue. Also a few minor note errors are there. This was kept to preserve the authentic emptions of the live play.
